Soft Washing is a method of exterior cleaning which uses a much lower water pressure than pressure washing, and then applying a biocide treatment which will kill all moss, algae, fungi and lichen.
We use a combination of hand scraping and the soft washing method to clean roofs.
Soft washing is essential when cleaning roofs to protect the roof tiles getting damaged from excessive water pressure. Roof scraping is more suitable for older roofs where the tiles are more fragile and where there is a heavy build up of moss. Roofs can just be hand scraped but may need to be done more often, by applying a biocide spray treatment your roof will stay clean for much longer.
Once we have gently cleaned your roof and removed moss and debris we will spray the entire roof with a treatment that will kill all moss, algae and lichens, ensuring your roof will stay clear of organic matter for years.
